Mongolian Beef Noodle Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 500g beef strips
- 30ml sesame oil
- 1g baking soda
- 1g white pepper
- 15ml oyster sauce
- 15ml dark soy sauce
- 15ml light soy sauce
- 4g brown sugar
- 45ml sesame oil
- 1 onion, roughly chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 packet stir-fry vegetable mix, or spring onions, red peppers, bean sprouts, cabbage and carrots
- 4 packets cooked udon noodles
- 30ml oyster sauce
- 10ml dark soy sauce
- 10ml light soy sauce
- 3g chicken powder
- 2g white pepper
- 4g brown sugar
- 2g ground ginger
- sesame seeds, for serving
Instructions
- Mix the beef with 30ml sesame oil, baking soda, 1g white pepper, 15ml oyster sauce, 15ml dark soy sauce, 15ml light soy sauce and 4g brown sugar. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
- Heat the remaining sesame oil in a wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 3 minutes, then remove it from the wok.
- Fry the onion and garlic in the wok until browned.
- Add the stir-fry vegetables and cook over medium heat until softened.
- Add the udon, cooked beef, remaining oyster and soy sauces, chicken powder, white pepper, brown sugar and ginger. Toss until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
