You open an app to send one message and spend forty minutes in its feed. Marcus uses Apple Screen Time to block the app. Rules can respond to your schedule, location, sleep and workouts. Friends can see whether you kept the rule, which makes it harder to turn the blocker off without saying so.

Each day you keep a rule adds to its streak. Friends can see the streak, daily screen time and whether you broke the rule that day, but not which apps you opened. Your usage data stays on the phone.
